Directions: If using a GPS, set it for
intersection US 259 & FM 726 if traveling
North toward Diana or intersection US 259 &
FM 450 if traveling South.
We are
located on the West side of the road. Enter
at Thomas Falls sign entrance.

How long is the course?
A. It is a 5K course.
You may run the entire 5K, or any portion of it. It
has land and water obstacles along the course.

Can I register
at the door?
A. NO! You must be
pre-registered by the deadline date! In some extreme
circumstances we do allow registration at the door.

Do I have to be
in a team to participate?
A. No. Many runners
participate as an individual runner.

How large/small
do teams have to be?
A. A team consists of
a minimum of 5 people. We have had teams with over
20 runners. The Winning Team is determined by the
fastest time of the first 5 people/per team that
cross the finish line.

How do I register a team?
A. You must have a
minimum of 5 runners. To register, each team member
must complete our Electronic Waiver & pay their fees
Online. They will need to put the name of their team
on the registration form. NOTE: Team members may pay
individually, or one person may submit payment for
the team.

When is the deadline date to register?
A. Unless the event
sells out, the registration deadline will be 6:00 pm
the Thursday before the event. We do sometimes
extend the deadline to noon Friday, but we do not
guarantee we will take entries beyond Thursday!

Q.
What is the "Team" division?
A. The "Team" division
consists of groups of 5, or more, runners that are
running as a team rather than as an individual. They
will choose a team name & the winning team will
receive their names on a plaque that will be on
display. NOTE: A "Team" category runner is also
eligible for their "Individual" category. i.e.
Depending on their "time" a Team runner could
possibly be the Men or Women division winner as
well.
Each team's top 5
runners' scores are combined to qualify their team
for the win!

Q.
What is the "Youth" division?
A. The "Youth"
division is for children 7-13 years old, and who are
able to swim. They may participate in the event only
when accompanied by an adult runner, both on, and
off, the course, at all times. Children may not be
able to successfully complete some of the obstacles.
You will need to provide a life-jacket for your
child to participate in the water obstacles or
contact us in advance to reserve one of ours. There
will be 1 winner from this division (see rules for
more info). If no youth runners completes all
obstacles, the award will go to the one that
completed the most with the fastest time.

Q.
Is there a minimum age limit to participate?
A. Yes. Age
7-years and up. Children 7-13
years, who are able to swim, may participate ONLY IF
they have an adult running with them at all times.
Please bring a life-jacket for the water obstacles
or contact us in advance to reserve one of ours!
Minors (as well as some adults) may have difficulty
completing some of the obstacles.
The minimum age to
participate without an adult running beside you is
14-years and up. They will still need an adult
present on the property.
Anyone under the
age of 18-years will need to have a parent or
guardian accompany them at check-in the day of the
event.

Do I have to
accompany my minor child? |
A. Yes. If your
child is 7-13 years & running in the race, they must
be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the
course!
All minor children
16-years & under must have an adult present at the
event & children 14-years and under must be
accompanied by an adult at all times while on the
property.
Do NOT leave your
minor children (14-years & under) unattended while
you are running in the mud run! |

Q.
What do I get with my registration fee?
A. In addition to
having a day of fun, your registration fee entitles
you to a participation award, if registered by
deadline, Runners receive Water Plunge
Zip-lining & Lunch after the run.
Each runner will
receive 1 free guest pass & lunch for a family
member or friend to come out and support them (water
plunge zip-line does not apply). In addition,
applicable runners receive 1 free child guest pass
w/lunch for any runner's child under 5-yrs. (Free
child guest pass IS ONLY FOR RUNNER'S child or
grandchild. Does NOT INCLUDE, nephew, niece, cousin,
friends' child, etc.) You may purchase
additional guest passes Online.

Q.
Can I transfer
my registration to another person?
A. No.
However, exceptions can be made depending on any
arising medical issue or extreme circumstances. You
will need to contact Thomas Falls to request a
transfer of registration.

Q.
I can no longer
participate, can I get a refund?
A. No. We have a
strict no refund policy and refunds will not
be issued under any circumstances. If you are simply
unable to make it, you do have options. Ask for a
rain-check for the next event the following year.
This does not infer that Thomas Falls is obligated
to have another event. However, a No Show, is not
eligible to a rain-check.

Q.
Do I have to know how to swim to do the water
pit?
A. Yes. The water pit
will vary according to weather and if you cannot swim you MUST BYPASS IT! Life Jackets (please bring
your own or make prior arrangements to reserve one
of ours) are optional for swimmers age 16 & up.
Youth 15-yrs & under MUST WEAR a life-jacket at all
times. If you don’t feel comfortable you may always
bypass any obstacles.

Q.
What if I can’t complete a particular
obstacle?
A. You may go around
any obstacle that you feel you can't complete. All
obstacles will be manageable. The more difficult
obstacles will have varying degrees of difficulty to
accommodate to different fitness levels. Remember
you must be able to swim or you MUST BYPASS the
water obstacles completely!

Q.
What time should I arrive?
A. You will need to
arrive at least 60 minutes prior to designated run
time. We will stop check-in approximately 30-minutes
prior to the race starting. The gate will be closed
a few minutes before the Mud Run. If you are late,
you possibly will not be allowed to check-in and
therefore will not be able to participate.

What should I
bring?
. A
Valid ID with your birthday (or Service ID) (may be
required) to check-in
. Cash for food and drinks at the
after-party
. Garbage bag to store your muddy
clothes as they will be sopping!
. A towel to dry off and protect
your car seat on the way home
. Change of clothes & shoes for
after the outside rinse.

Q:
What is the zip-line water plunge & what should I
bring if I am also zip-lining?
A. This
year, zip-liners will zip the zip-line water
plunge - The first of its kind in Texas!
Zip over 600-feet of exciting fun! You must
have closed toe shoes to zip-line. If you
have long hair, it needs to be pulled back
or up. This is optional after the Run is
over. It is FREE to runners only. Your
guests) may zip-line for a fee of $29 (or
$39 cash at the gate). Guests must be
pre-registered. |

Q.
Is there a place
to rinse off and change?
A. There will be a
rinse station with changing area available after you
complete the course.
Remember, this is a rinse station, not a shower.
You will not need soap or a washcloth for our rinse
station, as we need to keep it moving so everyone
has an opportunity to rinse.

Is there
somewhere to store my belongings?
A. Yes.
You may
stow your belongings in a single bag at the
pavilion. Please have your bag clearly marked. It
can be a bag, tote, backpack, etc. Only 1 bag per
person. No coolers allowed. Don’t
bring anything you don’t want covered in mud.
Small lockers (limited number) may be available for
valuables only (no clothes or shoes). Check ahead of
time for locker availability. If locker is
available, bring your own mini, or small lock. Teams
must share 1 locker.
We suggest that you leave all valuables at home.
We are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen,
items!

Q.
I am out of
shape, can I still participate?
A. Absolutely. The
event is for both competitive and non-competitive
runners. We do recommend you do some light cardio a
couple times per week paired with some upper body
strengthening to help you get up and over the
obstacles. However, you’ll have the option to bypass
any obstacle that you’re not comfortable tackling.
Out of shape is
different from medical issues.

I am pregnant or have a medical issue, can I
still participate?
A. NO! We may know how
to put on an awesome event, but our prenatal/medical
knowledge is limited.

Do you allow
Spectators & am I allowed to bring my children?
A. Yes –
SPECTATORS/GUESTS: MUST ALSO PRE-REGISTER ONLINE by the
deadline! Due to the nature of the mud run course,
MINOR CHILDREN AGE 14-YRS & UNDER MUST BE
ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Children left un-attended, at any time, could result
in their runner being asked to leave the course to
attend to them and thus resulting in
disqualification.

Are pets allowed?
A. No. Animals are not
allowed on the property with the exception of
service dogs and prior permission.

Will there be a
photographer?
A. No. We try to take
as many photos as possible on site the day of the
Run. Be sure to have your bib secured on the front
of your shirt so we can identify you in pictures.
Photos will be available on
Facebook
within a week after your event date.
Everyone is welcome
to take pictures as long as they DO NOT GET ON THE
COURSE or interfere with the Mud Run. Please share
any pictures that you may take by tagging us on
Facebook.

I left something behind, is there a lost and
found?
A. Yes. Any "found"
items will be kept for 30-days after the event. We
are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen
items. Please leave any valuables, such as jewelry,
at home.
